As soon as DuTrac receives confirmation of those members impacted by the recent unauthorized activity to Hy-Vee’s payment systems, letters will be sent to those members negatively impacted by this event. Within the letter are recommendations members may want to consider to avoid future fraudulent activity as well as an estimate of when replacement card(s) will be received.
As a reminder, as noted in the Telegraph Herald, Hy-Vee acknowledged earlier this month that it detected unauthorized activity on some of its payment processing systems linked to card payments at Hy-Vee restaurants, fuel pumps and drive-thru coffee shops. The company doesn’t believe the breach extended to payments systems used inside its grocery stores, drugstores and convenience stores.
DuTrac staff are ready to assist those members who may need immediate access to their funds and stand ready to provide relevant information and assistance to member’s whose accounts were affected by this event.
